The limits of copper DisplayPort cables

DP80 (DP 2.1 / UHBR20) is ultra-length sensitive: Even certified DP80 passive/copper options are typically only up to ~1.2m, so top-mode performance is hard to sustain at real PC-to-monitor distances.

To “go longer,” copper often gets bulkier: Longer copper runs generally require thicker/less flexible cable builds, which increases routing difficulty in racks, conduits, ceilings, and tight AV layouts.

Q2: Will my AOC “support 4K/120 (or 8K)” at my chosen refresh rate?
